TOPIC:- NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER.

 

TEXT:" Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6
Life experience would have made you known at this point in time that victory in life is not by might nor by power but by the LORD.

If it is by might, the physically strong, macho men would have been the wealthiest, most successful and most famous men. The feeble looking and fragile ones would have been the defeated, trampled upon and debased ones. With this understanding, the psalmist declared, giving the glory to God. " Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;" (Psalm 124)
Child of God, acknowledge the presence of the ALL-powerful God wroughting in great and mighty things in your life. You owe it all to Him. Give Him the Glory and you will see more of His Almightiness in your life.

My Father, as I pray now, I appreciate your Almightiness in my life.
