THE BIOGRAPHY OF CHARLES HADDON SPURGEON OF BLESSED MEMORY.

Charles Haddon, elder son of John Spurgeon, by his wife, the youngest sister of Charles Parker Jarvis of Colchester, was born at Kelvedon, Essex, in England on 19 June 1834.

His early childhood was spent with his grandfather, James Spurgeon, but in 1841 he was sent to a school at Colchester conducted by Henry Lewis. In 1848 he spent a few months at an agricultural college at Maidstone.
In the following year he became an usher in a school at Newmarkert.
His employer was a Baptist, and although Spurgeon had been reared an independent, and converted in a primitive Methodist chapel, he was baptised and formally joined the Baptist community at Isle ham on 3 May 1850.

THE BIOGRAPHY OF CHARLES G. FINNEY

Charles G. Finney was born in Warren, Connecticut in 1792, Finney was the youngest of nine children.
The son of farmers who moved to the upstate frontier of Jefferson County, New York after the American Revolutionary War, Finney never attended college. His leadership abilities, musical skill, six-foot three-inch stature, and piercing eyes gained him recognition in his community.
He and his family attended the Baptist church in Henderson, where the preacher led emotional, revival-style meetings. Both the Baptists and Methodists displayed fervor through the early nineteenth century. He “read the law”, studying as an apprentice to become a lawyer, but after a dramatic conversion experience and baptism into the Holy Spirit in Adams, he gave up legal practice to preach the gospel.

How Evangelist Tommy Lee Osborn dares to really Shake the World

In an age dominated by mass media, lightning-quick computer technology and society’s unquenchable need for information, it’s unfathomable that hundreds of thousands of people could gather in a single location without attracting international attention.

But that’s exactly what has happened for 53 years when evangelist T.L. Osborn and his wife, Daisy, who died in 1995, held open-field crusades in developing countries, drawing an estimated 250,000 to 500,000 people to each event. All told, millions of lives have been directly changed by Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Osborn International in the last 58 years.
Besides preaching at the crusades, Osborn prays for the masses—without laying hands on anyone—and subsequently sees countless miracles take place. Some of the more astounding occurrences have included the instantaneous healing of leprosy, blindness and crippled legs, and deliverance from demon possession. On more than one occasion, the Osborns witnessed uneven limbs growing out to the proper length.          visit Dunamisblog.com for more of this post.

The Ministry and Biography of Aimee Semple McPherson.

Aimee Kennedy was born on October 9, 1890, near Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada.
Her father, James Morgan Kennedy, was a struggling farmer. Her mother, Mildred “Minnie” Pearce was a former member of the Salvation Army (1865; founded by William Booth [1829–1912] as a religious organization with military structure for the purpose of bettering life for the poor and evangelizing the world). Soon after Aimee’s birth, her mother took her to the Salvation Army and dedicated her to God’s service.
Aimee’s training was particularly geared toward religious work.
When Aimee was in high school, she began to question her religious beliefs. She began to quiz visiting preachers and local pastors about faith and science, but was unhappy with the answers she received.
She wrote to the Canadian newspaper, Family Herald and Weekly Star, questioning why taxpayer-funded public schools had courses, such as evolution, which undermined Christianity.

The Apostle of Faith---Ministry, Life and Biography of Smith Wigglesworth.

                                                       Smith Wigglesworth.

He was born in 1859 to a very poor family.

His father did manual labor, for very little pay.
Smith himself went to work at the age of six to help with the family income.
At six he was pulling turnips and at seven he was working in a woolen mill twelve hours a day.
His parents did not know God, but Smith hungered in his heart to know Him. Even as a youngster he would pray in the fields.
His grandmother was the critical Christian in his life.
She was a Wesleyan Methodist and would take Smith to meetings with her.
At one of these meetings there was a song being sung about Jesus as the lamb and Smith came into the realization of God’s love for him and his decision to believe Christ for his salvation was decided that day.
He was immediately filled with the desire to evangelize and led his own mother to Christ.
Smith has various church experiences as he was growing up.
He first went to an Episcopal church and then at thirteen a Wesleyan Methodist church. When he was sixteen he became involved in the Salvation Army.
He felt deeply called to fast and pray for lost souls.

10 Kathryn Kulman Quotes to bless you.

I made a consecration of my life
I made a consecration of my life that I had never made before, when I saw that it was absolutely possible for me to so yield my life, my body, as a living sacrifice – a sacrifice so consecrated to Him that the name of God Almighty may be glorified through the life of a sinner saved by the grace of God. – Kathryn Kuhlman
The Heavenly Father does not ask for golden vessels
The Heavenly Father does not ask for golden vessels. He does not ask for silver vessels. God asks for yielded vessels – those who will submit their will to the will of the Father. And the greatest human attainment in all the world is for a life to be so surrendered to Him that the name of God Almighty will be glorified through that life. – Kathryn Kuhlman.
