Scriptural reading:- Deu.6:1-25
TOPIC:-EXAMINE YOURSELF
TEXT:" Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2cor.13:5.
For time to time, a wise child of God is expected to examine himself so as to retrace his steps if cut off from the right path. Familiarity with the things of God at times makes one Mises it without knowing. Titles, position and offices accorded to persons makes them sensitive with the things that once pricked their conscience. The spirit of God cannot force Himself on you; His chastising , reproving and corrections has to be yielded to by you. If you keep ignoring his corrections when you go wrong, He leaves you alone. At that point in time, your conscience which was once active becomes dead and shared with hot iron. The things you initially cannot do and have peace becomes a routine. You frame excuses for actions which may be permissive before men but they are not God's perfect will. Never should you lose sight of eternity. If Jesus come calling today, where will you be, heaven or hell? This vital question from time to time should come to mind. Are you rapturable? If rapture takes place right where you are even in church, will you be in the number? Please live each day to the fullest in God's glory. Nothing short of the glory should be added. Examine yourself. PRAYER
My father, my father, a I begin to pray now, by the power of the Holy Ghost, help me live each day to your glory.
