Scriptural reading:- John 6:25-59
TOPIC:-PREACH THE WORD
TEXT:"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove,
rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. "2 Tim. 4:2. From our opening text, it is crystal clear that it is God's will and desire that the believer should make him/herself a dispensing agent of good news. In the kingdom, your impact is felt by the degree or extent that you promote kingdom agenda.
Being a kingdom citizen as you are (Eph.2:19), you must understand that you are saddled with responsibility of disseminating the good news by which many will come to terms with the saving knowledge of Jesus. It is also of highest importance that you realize that there will be need for longsuffering during the execution of the preaching task that you are saddled with. Longsuffering simply refers to the ability to bear long enough with those you are preaching to, till they come to realize the truth in Christ Jesus. This is where so many believers get frustrated in their evangelistic work. So many times, folks don't seem to respond to your act of love demonstrated in preaching towards them, but nevertheless, that shouldn't make you grow weary, but rather endure by exercising the virtue of longsuffering which has been furnished in your spirit at new birth as part of the fruit of your recreated human spirit (Gal.5:22). You are ordained for that task; don't give up.
PRAYER
My father, my maker, empower me to preach your word at all times.
Good mornin.
